North Korea voiced "deep alarm" over Israel's military assault and strongly condemns it, the spokesperson stated, emphasizing that Israel's slaughter of civilians constitutes an unforgivable atrocity against humanity.
Israel's unlawful act of state-backed terrorism is escalating the risk of a full-scale war across the Middle East, the statement warned, as reported by the state-controlled KCNA news agency.
Israel unleashed devastating strikes on Friday, claiming to target Iran’s nuclear facilities, igniting a ferocious six-day clash with relentless missile barrages traded between the two nations.
On Sunday, Iran declared that Israeli airstrikes had resulted in the tragic loss of at least 224 lives, encompassing high-ranking military commanders, esteemed nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians, with no further updates to the casualty count provided since then.
Since Friday, the Israeli government has reported a death toll of at least 24 individuals and hundreds more wounded within its borders, with accounts confirming that civilians are among those affected by the ongoing violence.
In recent years, North Korea has deepened its ties with Russia, backing Moscow’s military efforts in its protracted conflict with Ukraine.

He later clarified he hadn’t finalized plans to join Israel in attacking Iran, cautioning that the conflict could topple Tehran’s current regime.
