The agreement follows a ferocious exchange of missiles, with Israel’s devastating strikes claiming nine Iranian lives, including a prominent nuclear scientist, according to Iranian state media. 

Meanwhile, tragedy struck Israel’s Be’er Sheva, where a catastrophic Iranian missile obliterated a residential complex, leaving seven dead in its wake. 

Iranian state TV declared the ceasefire took effect at 7:30 a.m. local time, though Tehran’s top officials have remained eerily silent since Trump’s bombshell announcement. Just hours before, Iran’s chief diplomat signaled a surprising willingness to pause the relentless airstrikes.

In a fiery defiance, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared on X that NO ceasefire deal exists, blasting rumors of any halt to military operations. 

Should the Israeli regime dare to continue its ruthless attacks on Iranians past 4 a.m. Tehran time, we’ll unleash our fury unabated! he warned, signaling Iran’s readiness to pause its retaliation only if Israel backs down. 

Araghchi ominously added, The ultimate call to end our military onslaught rests solely with us. This dramatic escalation follows Tehran’s audacious missile strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar, a daring retaliation that prompted President Trump’s urgent ceasefire proposals.

In a phone call with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed, Pezeshkian urged, We trust you to convey to the United States that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks only to protect its rightful interests, according to IRNA.
