As Israel's relentless airstrikes on Iran stretched into their third consecutive day, threatening to plunge the region into a broader and more volatile conflict, U.S.

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Sunday, boldly proclaiming his ability to broker a lasting peace between Israel and Iran, referencing his earlier diplomatic triumph in de-escalating longstanding tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a Truth Social post, President Trump declared that Iran and Israel should, and will, reach an agreement, just as he facilitated a deal between India and Pakistan by leveraging U.S. trade to foster reason, cohesion, and sanity in talks with their capable leaders, who swiftly decided to halt hostilities. As fighting persists in the Middle East, he revealed he has been quietly making calls and holding meetings behind the scenes, confidently stating that these ongoing efforts will soon bring peace between Israel and Iran.

President Trump boasted on Truth Social about his past diplomatic triumphs, claiming that during his first term, he single-handedly averted a full-scale war between Serbia and Kosovo, where tensions had been raging for decades and were on the verge of exploding.

"I put an end to it," he declared, while slamming former President Joe Biden for making "utterly foolish decisions" that he says have severely undermined long-term peace prospects.

President Trump trumpeted his role in resolving the heated Egypt-Ethiopia dispute over the Nile River Dam, proclaiming on Truth Social that his bold intervention brought lasting peace, at least for now. Despite the escalating Israeli airstrikes and mounting casualties in Iran and Israel, he insisted that peace remains within reach. "I do tremendous work, get zero credit, but that's fine—the people know the truth! Let's Make the Middle East Great Again!" he concluded with flair.

As the region teeters on the brink of wider conflict, Trump's remarks follow a dramatic escalation between Israel and Iran, sparked by unexpected Israeli airstrikes on Friday targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing senior generals and scientists. Iran retaliated by launching over 270 missiles, with 22 striking Israeli targets.

Israel has threatened broader strikes and urged Iranian civilians to evacuate weapons factories. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that Iran’s response would cease if Israel halts its attacks, while accusing the United States of complicity in the strikes and demanding accountability.

President Trump reiterated his commitment to brokering peace, posting on Truth Social that the U.S. had no role in Israel’s attacks but warning that any Iranian retaliation against America would trigger an unprecedented U.S. response. Despite the intensifying violence, he confidently asserted that a deal between Iran and Israel could be swiftly achieved to end the bloody conflict.

Devastation at Iran’s nuclear facilities has been exposed, with satellite imagery revealing severe damage to critical sites in Natanz and Isfahan, potentially setting Iran’s nuclear program back by months or more, experts warn. Israel claims the audacious strikes were a preemptive move to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons—a charge Tehran has vehemently and repeatedly denied.
