On Monday, Iran’s Supreme Leader dispatched his foreign minister to Moscow to urgently implore Russian President Vladimir Putin for increased support, following the most significant US military assault on the Islamic Republic since the 1979 revolution, which struck over the weekend.

US President Donald Trump and Israel have openly mused about assassinating Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and pursuing regime change, a move Russia warns could plunge the Middle East into catastrophic chaos.

While Russian President Vladimir Putin has fiercely denounced Israel’s aggressive strikes, he remains tight-lipped on the explosive US assaults targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, despite recently urging restraint and offering Moscow’s mediation to defuse tensions over Iran’s nuclear program.

A high-ranking source revealed to Reuters that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is set to deliver a critical letter from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Putin, desperately seeking Russia’s robust support.

Iranian insiders, frustrated with Moscow’s lukewarm backing, told Reuters that Tehran is pressing Putin to step up decisively against Israel and the United States, though specifics of the desired aid remain undisclosed.

The Kremlin confirmed Putin’s meeting with Araqchi but kept mum on the agenda. Araqchi, quoted by TASS, declared that Iran and Russia are aligning their strategies to counter the escalating Middle East crisis, signaling a potential game-changer in the region’s volatile showdown.

Vladimir Putin has relentlessly pushed to broker peace between the US and Iran, boldly asserting that he’s pitched Moscow’s game-changing proposals to both nations, guaranteeing Iran’s access to peaceful nuclear energy amid soaring tensions.

Last week, the Kremlin leader dodged questions about potential US-Israeli plots to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, keeping the world guessing.

In a stunning revelation, Putin disclosed that Israel vowed to Moscow that Russian experts constructing two additional reactors at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant would remain unharmed during airstrikes, raising the stakes in this high-octane Middle East drama!

Russia, a steadfast ally of Tehran, holds significant influence in Iran’s nuclear talks with the West as a veto-wielding U.N. Security Council member and a key signatory to the nuclear agreement discarded by Trump in 2018 during his first term.

However, Putin, embroiled in a grueling fourth-year war of attrition in Ukraine, has publicly displayed little enthusiasm for engaging in a direct clash with the United States over Iran, especially as Trump aims to mend relations with Moscow.
